Electrical Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment Specification & Compliance

About the role

Applied Materials seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead customer specification reviews and ensure electrical safety compliance for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. You will work closely with customers, sales, field service, and engineering teams to guarantee that tools meet Korean and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead customer common specification reviews (Electrical & EHS) and drive compliance for new and updated tool programs.
• Conduct customer meetings, discuss specifications, and communicate counter‑plans.
• Review electrical drawings and lead AC Rack (MPD) design and configuration checks.
• Support SEMI S2 certification activities and coordinate with SEMI Working Group, KOSHA, and PSM‑related items.
• Interpret electrical concepts and standards to solve equipment issues and coach Customer Engineering teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Strong understanding of electrical drawings and concepts for semiconductor tools.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Electrical drawings interpretation and creation.
• Electrical safety compliance (SEMI S2, IEC, UL, NFPA 79).
• AC Rack (MPD) design and configuration.
• Customer specification review and compliance.
