About the role
The Director, Communication & Public Affairs for North Asia leads communication and public affairs efforts across South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, reporting to the VP of Communication & Public Affairs for Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Asia Pacific.
Key responsibilities
- Lead communication and public affairs strategy in North Asia, shaping global strategy and executing best‑practice programs.
- Manage external partners such as PR agencies, oversee budgets, and provide senior‑level counsel to the Area Managing Director.
- Serve as the primary media liaison, represent the business with stakeholders, and lead crisis communications.
- Build and maintain networks with media, thought leaders, patient groups, trade associations and NGOs.
Required profile
- 12‑15 years of experience in public affairs and media relations, preferably in healthcare.
- Flawless written and verbal English and Korean communication skills.
- Strong connections with top‑tier Korean media outlets and experience leading cross‑cultural teams.
- Proven project, budget and agency management, including crisis management.
