Customer Trainer - Da Vinci Surgical Systems

About the role

Intuitive, a market leader in robotic-assisted surgery, is hiring a Customer Trainer in Seoul. The trainer reports to the Customer Training Manager or equivalent within the region and delivers technical training on the da Vinci surgical system to surgeons and operating room staff across specialties such as urology, gynecology, general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, as well as to first assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Run da Vinci surgical system training programs at designated training centers and other centers as needed.
• Lead and support specialty training programs, academic events and the needs of educators and participants.
• Develop training materials and protocols, and contribute to training research and product development.
• Train sales representatives so they can run in-service and system technology sessions with customers.
• Maintain equipment, clean and sterilize instruments, manage logistics, inventory and the training calendar, and troubleshoot the da Vinci system at the training center.
• Support learning projects, build eLearning, videos and blended curricula, and mentor new hires.
• Help define training and certification criteria and work with Services management to prioritize training needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher; a degree in clinical or health sciences, healthcare management, engineering, business administration, communication or education is desirable.
• 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare-related company; professional training, clinical or operating room experience and experience with medical devices are preferred.
• Able to accept up to 25% travel and flexible working hours.

Required skills

• Knowledge of adult learning principles and familiarity with adult learning methodologies preferred.
• Experience with project management, cross-functional teamwork and process improvement.
• Experience with MS Office Suite preferred; working knowledge of CRM (SFDC) and ERP (SAP) and database applications is a plus.
