Customer Project Manager – Autonomous & Commercial Mobility

About the role

The Customer Project Manager (CPM) owns and leads projects, overseeing planning, execution and delivery. The CPM ensures projects meet targets, stay on schedule, remain within budget and achieve high quality, acting as the primary internal and external interface.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and control project schedules, including PLC/MLC release planning, sample builds, customer deliveries and test events.
• Ensure timely execution of work packages, initiate countermeasures for deviations and escalate when needed.
• Control project scope through target definition and change management.
• Lead change management and approval activities throughout the project.
• Manage project costs arising from changes, securing reimbursement or recovery measures.
• Own the project budget, planning, execution within limits and efficient cost management.
• Maintain product cost and profitability within project targets.
• Lead sample planning, defining prototype phases and providing input for Vehicle Requirement Management.
• Prepare and perform gate releases, ensuring all required documents are ready for final approval.
• Serve as the primary customer interface, defining project‑level customer strategy with IPT and management.
• Report project progress to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of proven experience in the automotive sector.
• Experience as a technical or discipline project leader on at least one completed project.
• Fluent communication skills in English and Korean.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to manage cross‑functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in risk management, budgeting and financial planning.
• Proficiency in stakeholder management and client relations.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
