Country Manager – Travel Operations in South Korea

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Country Manager to lead our OAT Tour products in South Korea. Reporting to the VP Regional General Manager East & North Asia, you will be responsible for driving excellence across all travel offerings and building strong vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Audit products against GCC Brand Guidelines and propose changes to meet regional excellence goals.
• Analyze traveler surveys, web forum comments, and trip reports to develop quality action plans.
• Collaborate with Asia buyers and operations teams to resolve vendor issues and ensure high‑quality service.
• Ride along tours to gather live feedback, address hot issues, and implement product improvements.
• Lead hiring, training, and coaching of tour guides, emphasizing cultural fit and performance.
• Provide 24/7 emergency support for tour guides and manage day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain the Grand Circle Foundation and “Day in The Life” sites, driving grant proposals and partnerships.
• Own the regional budget for hiring and training on an annual basis.

Required profile

• South Korean nationality with excellent written and spoken English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in international travel trade.
• Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, risk‑management and change‑management abilities.
• Result‑oriented, detail‑focused and quality‑driven.
