About the role
The Application Engineer will lead the launch and development of ACEP photo, etch and clean products for BASF’s Ansan R&D centre. The role involves designing demos, delivering R&D samples, and collaborating with global and local teams to meet customer needs.
Key responsibilities
- Design and execute product demonstrations and experiments based on technical requests.
- Work with the Center of Excellence and Application & Development teams on new material and wafer demonstrations.
- Set up, optimise, and troubleshoot process recipes; manage mass‑production samples and tool operation.
- Communicate project status with customers and technical sales, prepare data reports and maintain a backup database.
- Identify IP opportunities, conduct IP searches, and support IP registration for developed chemicals.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or material engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Fluent in English and native‑level Korean.
- Fundamental understanding of cleaning or wet‑etching technology.
Required skills
- Experience with cleaning products and photo ancillaries.
- Process recipe development, optimisation and troubleshooting.
- Data reporting and database management.
- IP search and registration procedures.
