About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a motivated intern to support the KOICA YP Project within its Programme Support Unit in Seoul. Working under the supervision of senior staff, the intern will contribute to projects that strengthen government‑civil society partnerships, refugee resettlement, and assistance for vulnerable migrants.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of projects managed by the Programme Support Unit.
- Conduct desk research on migration, humanitarian assistance, and related policy issues.
- Support activities related to government and civil‑society partnerships, refugee resettlement, and movement operations.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams.
Required profile
- Enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme or recently graduated in international development, international relations, political/social sciences, migration studies, human rights, or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in both Korean and English (written and spoken).
- Experience in desk research and exposure to international, NGO, or governmental environments is desirable.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with humanitarian assistance, international development, and migration issues.
