About the role
The AIX Field Service Engineer is the primary contact for digital tools at customer sites, supporting Applied Materials' semiconductor and display equipment. You will drive continuous improvement of digital solutions, mentor teammates, and ensure smooth operation of dashboards and models.
Key responsibilities
- Identify improvement areas and drive continual enhancement of digital tools.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer‑site digital tools globally.
- Explain complex issues, build consensus with teams and customers, and support complex problem solving using data analytics.
- Manage model propagation, dashboard configuration, and monitor short‑ and long‑term signal trends.
- Provide mentorship on troubleshooting methodologies and new tool adoption.
Required profile
- Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in the discipline and broadens capabilities.
- Understands key business drivers and applies this insight to daily work.
- Provides informal guidance to new team members without formal supervisory responsibilities.
- Applies Applied’s problem‑solving techniques to resolve issues.
- Communicates complex information clearly and impacts the quality of team output.
Required skills
- Knowledge of Applied Materials' digital products and applications.
- Familiarity with equipment and fab operations.
- Understanding of BKM modeling techniques.
