Business Development Manager – Korea Market

About the role

Remote People is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Korean market. The role focuses on expanding the company’s presence across a range of specialised technical product lines, working closely with the German‑based team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to increase presence and revenue in Korea.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities with customers, distributors, partners and key accounts.
• Leverage existing professional network to generate sales leads and convert them into revenue.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with decision‑makers and stakeholders.
• Understand customer requirements and match them with the company’s specialised product portfolio.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation and closing.
• Maintain a measurable sales pipeline and provide regular updates on opportunities.
• Collaborate with the German team on market strategy, customer needs and commercial opportunities.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, trade events and industry activities.
• Support communication between Korean customers and the German team, including interpretation or translation when required.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide market feedback to inform product and business strategy for Korea.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management.
• Strong understanding of the Korean market with established relationships with relevant companies and decision‑makers.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and convert networks into measurable revenue.
• Excellent English communication skills; ability to interact with the German team and provide interpretation or translation.
• Self‑motivated, commercially driven and comfortable working in an international environment.
