Manager, ETCH Customer Engineer

About the role

The Manager, ETCH Customer Engineer leads a district of customer engineers, builds strong client relationships, and ensures successful system installations and support for Applied Materials' semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer relationships across all levels in the district, conducting regular visits.
• Manage, coach, and direct customer engineers, handling salary and career planning, performance appraisals, and corrective actions.
• Serve as the primary interface with product divisions for technical support, training, spares, and reliability.
• Oversee the CSD Award Program, mentor program, escalation procedures, and RMA processes.
• Collaborate with District Sales Engineer on account planning and provide support plans for system sales.
• Responsible for financial forecasting, cost efficiency, and measuring district financial results.
• Plan, report, and execute system installations, including pre‑facility and start‑up meetings and process support identification.
