Communications Intern

About the role

The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) is seeking a Communications Intern to support its Subregional Office for East and North‑East Asia (SOENEA) in Incheon, Republic of Korea. This unpaid, full‑time internship lasts 3‑6 months and offers hands‑on experience in multilateral communications and outreach.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce event flyers, posters, factsheets, infographics, and other visual communication materials.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other communication products.
• Produce short promotional video clips and event highlights.
• Support website and social‑media content development.
• Assist in photography, video editing, and multimedia production.
• Ensure branding and layout design follow UN visual identity guidelines.
• Assist in outreach and visibility activities for meetings and regional forums.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate programme, or in the final academic year of a bachelor’s programme.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of an additional UN official language is an advantage.
